A seasoned 35-year veteran in the tax and accounting field, Theresa's goal is to serve every client with excellence and make them feel like family.

Theresa is well-versed in Quickbooks, Drake Tax, and Thomson Reuter. She also continues to grow her expertise through frequent seminars, accounting workshops, and industry certificates.

Theresa’s sister, 5 nieces, and 5 nephews keep her busy and make life very rich. (But she always has time for a Chiefs game!)

Ruby Courtney

Ruby has been an accountant since 1994 when she earned her degree at Missouri Western. She loves handling clients’ accounting needs and problems, and also has experience in government and nonprofit accounting. Working with Theresa at PAS has felt very rewarding for Ruby, and she brings much warmth to the office environment.

Debbie Porter

Debbie’s passion is small business accounting - analyzing cash flow and helping businesses make it work better for them. With over 4 decades of experience, Debbie is excited to be working with Professional Accounting Services to serve clients with integrity and excellence. She is married to Clay and is frequently found serving at Citylight Church in Kansas City.

Carla Heese

Carla strengthens PAS with 28 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting, and loves connecting with clients when they pick up or drop off their documents. Carla has strong roots in the KC area - married to Gary for 55 years, she enjoys time with her 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Carla is also an avid quilter and has recently picked up square dancing after a long hiatus.

Jim Beard

Jim brings 50 yrs of experience to his work with Professional Accounting Services, and he continually brightens the office with his sense of humor. He lives in Kansas City with his wife Janice and has two children. When Jim isn’t preparing tax returns, he enjoys getting outdoors to enjoy a round of golf.

April Miller

A long-time friend of Theresa’s, April is an asset to the PAS team with her organizational skills and her love for building relationships. She lives outside Weston, MO with her husband, where they are proud Aunt and Uncle to a host of young relatives and friends. April’s free time is spent knitting, and her husband drives race cars. (Opposites really do attract!)

Amy Brosnan

Amy is the administrative queen of PAS with decades of practice under her belt. When she’s not keeping the office organized and running smoothly, she’s reading the Bible, serving at church, cooking for friends and family, or playing tennis and pickleball. Amy has been married 35 years.

Peggy Fryer

A personal income tax guru, Peggy brings 30 years of expertise to our team at Professional Accounting Services. She enjoys reading, spending time with her family and friends, and mowing her yard! Peggy has one adult daughter who is a nurse at NKC Hospital.

Abigail Grysban

With an 8-year background in bookkeeping and 10 years of writing experience, Abigail helps the PAS team with projects ranging from data entry to copywriting. She lives in Raymore, MO, is engaged to Leo, and enjoys cooking new recipes and exploring local coffee shops.
